Amanda K. Esquibel

Amanda has been a County and Circuit Court mediator, certified by the Florida Supreme Court, for over twenty-five years.  She is the President of Esquibel Communications Company, a company that is committed to providing high-quality dispute resolution services.

Amanda has been an attorney for over thirty years.  She is licensed in Florida and Tennessee. Her experience as a lawyer is in the fields of corporate law (at Holland & Knight LLP) and commercial litigation (at Kenny Nachwalter, P.A., Tilghman & Esquibel, P.A. and Amanda K. Esquibel, P.A.).

As a former, tenured professor of law at the University of Memphis School of Law, Amanda has taught and published articles on a variety of subjects, including antitrust, business organizations, commercial paper and professional responsibility.  She is also a Florida licensed real estate broker.

Amanda has an undergraduate degree in accounting from Jacksonville University (magna cum laude) and a joint master’s degree in business administration and law degree (with honors) from the University of Florida.  She was a teaching assistant in eco-statistics at the University of Florida’s business school and a research assistant in antitrust at the school’s Robert F. Lanzillotti Public Policy Research Center.  Amanda was also the Managing Editor of the Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif at the University of Florida’s law school.

Amanda’s philosophy toward dispute resolution is that preparation, persistence and patience, coupled with careful communication, carry the day.

Harry R. Schafer

Harry focuses exclusively on alternative dispute resolution as a mediator and arbitrator. In addition to over thirty years of experience in complex commercial litigation, he has served as a mediator and an arbitrator for over twenty-five years.  He has both litigated and helped to resolve a wide variety of disputes involving an array of business practices and legal subject matters.

Prior to his work at Esquibel Communications Company, Harry was a commercial litigator at the Kenny Nachwalter firm in Miami, Florida for 34 years and a firm shareholder for 27 of those years.

Harry received his Juris Doctor, with honors, and his Bachelor of Science in accounting, with high honors, from the University of Florida.  He is “AV” rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Florida Trend Legal Elite and South Florida Legal Guide.

Complementing his legal experience, Harry also has an extensive business background that includes corporate board service, investment and profit sharing plan experience.  He is licensed as a certified public accountant and real estate sales associate.

Harry is an experienced advocate, strategist and negotiator.  Most importantly, he is a problem solver. He couples his strong work ethic and intensity with good judgment, creativity, practicality, economy and professionalism.  His goal, in all he does, is to make a difference.
